Bears Bikes/Berwick Secondary Enduro Teams comes ninth in its first outing. Our Team made its way to Forrest to race the Kona 24hr, in what turned out to be a great resault with plenty of laughs and good times. Luke started the days first lap well giving us a start at the front end of the field and came home well before Trent Lowe (Garmin Chipotle). As the day turned to night we continued to climb the leader board, making it to 5th, just before 1am disaster struck with Lee making an XTR Derailuer shatter and we lost a lap. We started back in 12th place and to the guys credit worked our way back to ninth by the end. The trails and forrest where awesome with huge burm sections and fast single track. After reviewing the lap times I think i need to train on dirt more as young Lee put minutes into my lap times. Thanks to all the guys for their help and look forward to the next event........ Lastly Thanks to Ian at Berwick Secondary for the loan of the trailer and his support and a huge thanks to Bow and Zane's Dads, as with out them we would not of made it there, fed ourself or woke up through the night.....

Gravity 12 hour Enduro
What a weekend, the weather Friday looked bad, the 3am wake up was bad but the race rocked. Luke and Myself left at 4am Saturday bound for beechworth and the main conversation traveling was how muddy is it going to be and are we going to ride out the 12 hrs. Arriving at 8:15am and it was a bit damp but seemed ok, Luke drew the short straw for the first laps and then we where racing. After a first stint we where 11th overall and the track was fast and sticky. For most of the day our team was 5th in the 3 man cat and we where really enjoying the track. After 12 hours of racing there was no blood, everyone had a great time and we came 7th out of 51 Teams in 3 man, and 12th out of 195 Teams overall. ***Weekend Racing ****(Dirt Riders Rnd 2 Winter Series)
Sunday 20th of July 2008. What a wet weekend. Dirt Riders round two of their winter series was happening. The rain stopped for the race but Beaconsfield Upper was Mud, Mud and even more mud. Staff member Dave raced B Grade and came 11th but with all the mud made his light weight Kona XC Bike weigh as much as a DH Bike. The guys at dirt riders cut some new track and it was a good course around 4.8kms with only a small amount of climbing. The race was well run and had a great vibe, keep up the good work Rob, Ian and John.

***Weekend Racing ****(Dirt Riders Rnd 1 Winter Series)
Sunday 29th June 2008. Customers Luke Hanley, Tim Lee and staff member Dave raced at Beaconsfield Upper Scout camp in Dirt Riders round one of their winter series. The track was in great condition and the course was similar to the Enduro course but only 4.7kms. Tim and Luke where racing their first short course mountain bike race and Dave riding only his second. The Guys rode well with Luke (9th) and Dave (11th) in B Grade and Tim having an early machanical but still enjoying the rest of his ride in A Grade. The race was run well and John and Rob from Dirt Riders did a great job.
